Can I keep my current software while I try Dog Tail?
Yes. Dog Tail runs in a side-by-side mode where your current system stays the source of truth. Nothing goes out to your clients from Dog Tail, no texts, no emails and no card charges, until you decide to switch.
How does my data get into Dog Tail?
You export spreadsheets from your current software and we import them. Re-importing a newer export updates what changed and adds what is new without creating duplicates, so you can repeat it as often as you like before switching. We have export steps for Gingr, PetExec, Goose, Kennel Connection, Revelation Pets and Paw Partner.
What happens to the cards my clients have on file?
Card numbers cannot be exported in a spreadsheet by any pet care software. You can ask your current payment processor to transfer saved cards to Stripe, or clients can add a card in the Dog Tail parent app. We walk you through both.
What does it cost?
One flat monthly price per location, with no cut of your card processing. The migration test is free. We share early-access pricing on a short call.
Do I have to use your payment processor?
No. You can take cards through the built-in Stripe payments, or keep your current card terminal and record each payment in Dog Tail.
Can I get my data back out?
